Most of us don’t fail at fitness because we lack information. We fail because we can’t stay consistent. Benhar Habits is a free habit tracker app, built by me, to make consistency easier: one simple place to track your daily habits, take on challenges, and see your progress grow.
It is live on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, and it is designed to be light, quiet and distraction-free.
Why I built Benhar Habits
On this blog I write about cycling, walking, eating well and building a workout routine. Every one of those guides ends at the same problem: knowing what to do is easy, doing it every day is hard. I built Benhar Habits to close that gap. The idea is simple: small daily actions, tracked honestly, add up to real change in your health, work and discipline.
What you can do in the app
- Track daily habits. Add the habits you want to build and tick them off each day, in a few seconds.
- Take on challenges. Commit to a personal challenge and keep going until you finish it.
- See your progress. Watch your consistency build over time, so you can see what is working.
- Use the calendar and notes. Look back at your days on a calendar and add short notes about how they went.
- Practise real-life decisions. Quiz and “what would you do” scenarios, including work-life situations, help you think through choices before you face them.
- Export your records. Save your progress as a PDF when you want to keep or share it.
There is no sign-up wall. The app is free and supported by ads.
How to use it: a simple first week
The biggest mistake with habit apps is adding ten habits on day one. Start small instead.
- Pick one to three habits. Choose actions that take under 10 minutes, such as a 20-minute walk, a glass of water on waking, or 10 push-ups.
- Attach each habit to a time. “After my morning tea” works better than “sometime today”.
- Tick it off the same day. Mark it done as soon as you finish, while it still feels good.
- Write one line in your notes. A short note on how the day went helps you spot patterns by day 7.
- Review on day 7. Keep what worked, drop what didn’t, then add one new habit.
If you miss a day, don’t restart from zero. Just do it again tomorrow. Consistency over a month matters far more than a perfect week.
Who it is for
- Beginners starting a walking, cycling or workout routine
- Busy people who want a quick daily check-in, not a complicated system
- Anyone building study, work or self-improvement habits alongside fitness
